My Amazing Bible Class

One of my biggest challenges working at Otumoetai has been teaching the primary age children's class. In the past I have had no problem working with young children but for some reason I have really had to work hard at it here. This July I started teaching again and slowly I have been gaining more and more motivation to passionately teach and build relationships with the children in my class. I love them all so much and I am enjoying my time that have with them on Sundays and Wednesdays.

Ladies Bible Study

Over the last several months 2 of my teammates and I have been getting together with a ladies group every-other Thursday. We have been doing a series called, "Living God's Love," By Liz Curtis Higgs. It has been a great study to be apart of. Most of the Ladies are older then us so it has been great to be mentored by them and hear about there experiences in life. It really has been an encouraging study to beapart of.

Princess Party

We had a great time with the girls! It was such an enouraging day. 25 girls came. We had centers, a skit, and singing.

4th of July Celebration

This was our second year celebrating America’s day of independence! Again this year we helped with planning and setting up for the great event. We invited everyone in the community that we knew were Americans. Most of them were Americans who were married to Kiwis. Others were American couples and individuals who moved here from America for various reasons. We had such a great time! Over 70 people were present. Continuing into the month we have been visiting those who came and trying to plant the seed. Who knows what God might do. Please be praying as try our hardest to build relationships with them and show them the Love that we have for them, as well and most importantly for the love that Jesus has for them!

Our New Bother! Praise the Lord!!!

On Tuesday afternoon, 16th June, 2009 another brother was added to the Kingdom!!! 14 year old Jayden Carr was baptized by Andrew Gearhart at the hot pools. Andrew has been studying with Jayden for a few weeks now and others from the church have also study with him in the past. Jayden has been raised in the Otumoetai family so this was an exciting event for everyone. Please be praying for young Jayden as he enthusiastically begins his journey with the Lord!

Brotherly Love

This is just a video clip of some of our friendst at the church... :)

Home Sweet Home!

It's crazy to think about that girl who wrote the blog entry above. In some ways I am still that girl but in other ways I am not. When I wrote that I was hurting and all I could do was hang on to Christ. Over the past several months God has continued to bring some amazing people into my life. I don't think I have ever had so many brothers, mums and dads, and encouraging mentors. I am going to be so sad when it is time for me to leave but I am so grateful for the time that I have had and the 6 months I still have left. God is so good! He answers prayers better ways then we can even imagine.
