Chocolate Night

On a Friday night we had the girls from the church and some we have met just in the community, come over for a girls night!! The girls were between the ages of 10 to 15ish. Everyone enjoyed playing games, watching a nooma video, fellowshiping as well as eating CHOCOLATE of chores!!! I think they all had good time and I hope we do it again soon. It was such a joy for me to be able to spend time with these amazing young girls. Many of them are not christians and do not have christian families so be praying for them as we try to be Jesus to these girls.

New Zealand Life

Reality

My team and I have been here for about 3 months now and the reality of our time here is starting to sink in. We have experienced homesickness, frustration for not having the food we want, driving on the wrong side of the road, and of chores the feeling of being alone. I am not telling you these things so that you will feel bad for us or anything of the sort. Never in all of those moments do I regretted being here.... Well at least not for very long. God always seems to remind me that he is still with me and in the hard times that I am going through I am being shaped into a better women of God. I have been privileged enough to be here on the other side of the world to build relationships with the people here and to work for the commiunity in this country. I have enjoyed getting to know many young children all the way up to some amazing older widows in the church family at Otumoetai. God is using these people to build me up in my faith. In truth, God is using every expierence and oppertunity to strengthen me. He never wastes a good hurt and when I remind myself of that it becomes my reality...
